Millions of minks are being culled in Denmark after it was discovered that they not only catch the virus, but spread it in a mutated form to humans. Greece is imposing some hefty penalties to those convicted of serious animal cruelty crimes including up to 10 years in prison and anywhere from 25 - 50 thousand euros in fines. After discovering that mink not only catch the coronavirus, but transmit it in a mutated form, Denmark has made the decision to cull all of their captive mink in the country. 17 million mink are set to die which is an astronomical blow to a country that produces the most fur in the world. The USFWS is facing yet another lawsuit after a new rule opened up 2.3 million acres of protected land for hunting and fishing despite the potential for disastrous effects on endangered animals like grizzly bears, ocelots, and whooping cranes.
