My final PESTO WEEK recipe is a creamy, pesto gnocci. Frozen gnocci cooks so very quickly and this cream sauce is whipped up in a flash. The whole recipe is prepped and plated in 25 minutes.
The sauce is lush, creamy, and so flavourful with the pesto and all of these things go hand in hand with tender, pillowy gnocci. It's simple and so delicious.

What is Pesto?
Pesto is a mixture of nuts, garlic, herbs, oil, and parmesan cheese blended together to create a flavourful, green condiment. It is nutty, herby, and gorgeous and a great addition to so many dishes. It's fabulous in tomato based sauces or as a standalone sauce as well as adding a layer of flavour to soups, stews, or pastas. It's very easy to prepare and there are so many variations of pesto simply by changing the nut or herbs used in it. Play around with the combination and you can come up with so many different pestos for so many different uses in the kitchen.

I love pesto. I've made it countless times and absolutely love the flavour. It's such a wonderful ingredient to add to so many dishes to help amp up their flavour. This beautiful green sauce is also quite versatile in that you can add it in various stages of the cooking process for different results. It's delicious and that's why this week's recipes will all center around Pesto.
