When it comes to desserts, I can take them or leave them. Growing up, I over did it on the candy and as time went on, I started losing interest in desserts. With that being said, I can still appreciate a good dessert especially when there's fruit involved.

Soup might very well be one of my favourite meals. So many combinations of flavours and ingredients to play around with all ending up the same, a beautiful soup.

**They are extremely high in fiber and high in protein as well. This makes them a great meat substitute!
**They cook significantly faster than dried beans and also don`t require an overnight soak to revitalize them!
This chili recipe is prepared in the slow cooker which allows those mild spices to really blend together and sing. When adding canned beans to the slow cooker make sure to add them closer to the end of the cooking process. They are already cooked and really don`t benefit from being cooked for hours.

What does redemption taste like? It tastes like layers of tender, creamy potatoes and delicious, sweet leeks. For those of you who missed my tweet a few weeks back, I attempted potato gratin using a recipe I found online and what I ended up with was a dish full of curdled looking cream and NO FLAVOUR!
