I've got some great recipes coming up this week that I think you'll all love!
** Roasted vegetables make for a delicious and nutritious side dish to any meal. This recipe takes all the flavours and veggies from a traditional stew and roasts them up to perfection with a collection of savoury herbs and butter of course! A combination of Potatoes, Carrots, and Celery make up this roasted vegetable side. Simple and so delicious! ** Another Slow Cooker recipe coming your way! Spinach & Artichoke dip is a favourite of mine and has been for ages. This dip is another example of the simplicity of using the slow cooker. Super rich and creamy and packed with fresh Spinach and Artichoke Hearts. I see the bowl being licked clean with this one! ** When I say snack time, what comes to mind? How about crispy Chick Peas? Skip the chips and roast some delicious chick peas for a snack that's going to have you coming back for more. All you need is a few herbs, salt and pepper, EVOO, and Chick Peas and you have a crispy, flavourful snack. Roasted Chick Peas have a nuttiness to them that is wonderful and a nice change from traditional snacks. Make sure to visit this week for the recipes! Keep Veggin' HAPPY VEG

Precooked Polenta makes this recipe super simple. You can find it in a tube generally in the Italian section of the grocers although you may find it in the refrigerated section as well.
Being that it is precooked, it is so easy to manipulate and it is already set up to be cut into fries! Polenta fries are nice and crispy on the outside and rich and creamy on the inside. You guys will love them! You can toss them in any herb / spice combination you desire. I went with a simple coating but try and spice it up! |
