Burgers are one of those foods that everyone enjoys. They're a quintessential part of a lot of North American's diets and find themselves on our dinner plates regularly. Personally, I love the burger varieties offered by YVES Veggie Cuisine and Gardein but it's also nice to whip up your own patties from time to time.
Fried food is fabulous. It may not be the very best thing for you as far as your health is concerned but I've always said, everything in moderation.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting a Greek sit down restaurant for the first time and tried a dish called Kolokithi. Lightly battered zucchini strips that are finished with a sprinkling of salt and herbs. It was so bloody wonderful for being something that was so very simple.
I've whipped up my own batch and tested a few recipes for batter until I found the one thast would give me the lightest, crispiest results. The key is soda water. The carbonated water really gives you a light and airy batter perfect for frying these zucchinis!
