I seasoned them with sea salt and a drizzle of EVOO and tossed them into the oven to bake. They definitely get brown and crispy like traditional tots but I found that they needed to cook a bit longer than what the package recommended to get that crispy outside I was hoping for.
Flavour wise they were pretty delicious and I definitely enjoyed the flavours of broccoli. It was a welcome change from traditional tots. I enjoyed the crispy outside but did find that the inside was a bit of a mash so the texture was a bit different than a traditional tot. Not that big of a deal when you consider the benefits of switching to a veggie tot now and again! Overall, they were crispy on the outside, tasty, and no more expensive than name brand tots. I loved the flavour of broccoli and I loved that every serving of the tots came with a serving of veggies. I would seriously recommend making the swap to veggie tots every so often to keep things interesting and benefit from the veggie servings. After eating these, I'm looking forward to trying the cauliflower tots they offer as well! HAPPY VEG Head to Green Giant for all of their products and information! www.greengiant.com/
